R.M. Hays and Bros. photographs (- Hotel Hamilton )

Hagerstown, Hotel Hamilton Click on the MEDIA ITEMS below for more information

On West Washington Street across from the Court House was the Hotel Hamilton. Rail road tickets were on sale inside and the Chesapeake and Potomac Telephone logo, the bell, hung outside, indicating that there was a Pay Station in the hotel. On the corner was the Rudy and Meredith drug store.

Further down the street is the Baldwin House. There appears to be a banner flying from a flag pole on the roof, with "STOP HERE" on it. The first word is hidden behind the tree branches.
