R.M. Hays and Bros. photographs ( - Auto show)

Auto show, Pope Toledo Click on the MEDIA ITEMS below for more information

The location of this auto show is unknown. While the Pope-Tribune was built in Hagerstown at the old Crawford bicycle plant, the Pope-Toledo, a more expensive car, was built in Toledo, Ohio. It is the Pope-Toledo that features prominently at this exhibition.

Also on display are Winton and Morgan automobiles.

Ellen DiBiase & Lewis Mountcastle

Chester Hays, one of the brothers of R.M. Hays was a collector of photographs of the old days of Hagerstown, according to his obituary. While the photograph does not show Hagerstown it may have been included in this collection because of the Pope connection.
