Beginning in 1956, the Washington County Museum of Fine Arts was part of an experimental program to broadcast educational lessons to students in the Washington County School System via closed circuit television. Museum Director Bruce Etchison and Art Instructor Clyde Roberts were the primary art teachers in this program. In this photograph Bruce is using a Dutch painting of an old woman as a teaching illustration for a televised lecture. At the time the painting was believed to be by Rembrandt.
