Three N. J. Survivors Of Antietam Battle

New Jersey has three surviving veterans of the Battle of Antietam in the Civil War. They are Nelson Ferry, 93, of 154 Princeton avenue, Dover; George C. Eldridge of 15 Park avenue, Dumont; and Ebenezer T. Jarvis of 10 Carnegie avenue, East Orange.

Eldridge plans to attend part of the two weeks' celebration commemorating the conflict at Hagerstown, Md. The ceremony which opened Saturday will end September 17 with re-enactment of the battle. Health will not permit the other two veterans to attend.
