Miss Antietam

Miss Antietam, the pageant queen. Click on the MEDIA ITEMS below for more information

A large number of newspapers across the east ran the photograph of Miss Antietam. The clipping agency, Consolidated Press Clipping Bureaus on Dearborn Street in Chicago and their Eastern division on Fifth Avenue, New York, who were hired by the Hagerstown Chamber of Commerce, pasted a number of the photographs on the same page for an interesting effect. There were three such pages in the scrapbook.

Julia Brandt of Hagerstown was Miss Antietam. Her father was Carl Brandt, a well-known furniture manufacturer in Hagerstown.
