BOILING SUGAR WATER INTO MAPLE SYRUP. This picture shows where the sugar water was boiled down into maple syrup. It took about fifty (50) gallons of sugar water to make one gallon of good sugar maple syrup.

John Schlosnagle operated the camp shown for a few years. At present, most of the sugar maple trees have been removed.

Reverse: Evaporation house in the former Foster Yost sugarbush, now (1986) the property of John Schosnagle. His sons ran the camp for a number of years during their high school years.
