The great Baltimore & Ohio system reaches Hagerstown by its Washington County Branch from Weverton, a point on the main line near Harper's Ferry. At Weverton connection is made east and west, and at Harper's Ferry the Valley Branch departs from the main track and runs to Lexington, Va., where connection is made with the Richmond and Allegany.
