Let him who would move the world,
First move himself
Ladies and gentlemen, I implore you do not overlook this imposing engraving. At last he has come to light. He, the man who would try anything once, except marriage. This remarkable human being whose slogan is, "Don't do today what you can put off 'til tomorrow," has made a desperate "stab" at anything presented in this school. He has excelled in dramatics, improved in soccer, and has risen to unbelievable heights as running guard on our basketball team. So here's to "Unca Walt" the pride of the class of '28 and may you succeed in life as well as you have in our dear old Alma Mater.
RAYMOND HUTSON
"Huttie"
Soccer (3-4); Track (2-3-4); Cheer Leader (2-3-4); Dramatic Club (2-3-4); "The Quill," Athletic Editor; Athletic Honor Club (4); Hi-Y; Quartet (2-3-4); "The Ghost Story"; "Nearly a Honeymoon"; "Kicked Out of College"; Declamation Contest; "Nothing But the Truth"; "Pickles."
Greater men than I have lived but I'm from Missouri.
My friends, I ask you, can a person who parts his hair in the middle, plays soccer, and buys sodas for a certain girl actually be a member of our class of '28?
There is a current expression to the effect that gentlemen prefer blondes, but this young lad emphatically prefers a petite brunette. In spite of being completely under the power of Eros, Huttie has found time to take the lead in plays and musical comedies and was elected the most dramatic boy in school. Therefore, this popular young man's chief claim to distinction lies in the fact that he always enacts the role of the true Romeo.
