New York Clipper

The New York Clipper, started in 1853 by Frank Queen, was a weekly publication catering to the theatrical, amusement, sporting, outdoor entertainment and circus trade. The newspaper was eventually absorbed by Variety. Circus Historical Society.

Mr. McMicheal received a letter from the Clipper, quoting him a price of $11.00 for four insertions of the ad in one inch space.
