Penn Hi's Soccer Team, the newest athletic experiment in our school got away to a good start in the 1927 season. Although not winning games, the Penn Hi Team was noted for its fighting spirit and clean play. The boys who finished the season are to be commended for staying with a losing team, for out of a squad of twenty-six but fourteen stayed to see the finish of the W. M. I. League battle.

In memory of the Home game with Bruce Hi—that heart-breaking game of 3-0. We respectfully dedicate this bit of poetry to the fellows who remember the game and the scene in the dressing room afterward.

"For when the one great scorer comes
To write against your name,
He writes not that you won or lost,
But how you played the game."
