A photograph of an engraving of Nathaniel Rochester. In this three-quarter profile image Colonel Nathaniel Rochester wears a jacket with pointed lapels, a vest with a stand-up collar, and a white stock.

The drawing was by V. P Shafer. The engraving was made by E Mackenzie, an Englishman who came from England in 1833/34 and did some work for the National Portrait Gallery. The photograph of the engraving from 1912 was made by Albert Stone, who had a 30-year career as a photographer for the Rochester Herald and the Democrat & Chronicle
