LEONA WORMACK
August 17, 2003

Leona Wormack, 100, of Cumberland, went to be with her Lord on Friday, Aug. 16, 2003, at Devlin Manor Nursing Home.

Born May 4, 1903, Uniontown, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Samuel Wormack and Mary (Williams) Wormack. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Albert, Andrew, and John Wormack; a sister, Henrietta Wormack; a sister-in-law, Beatrice Wormack; and a great-nephew, Keith W. Wormack, IV. Mrs. Wormack is the last surviving member of her immediate family.

An LPN in the Pittsburgh, Pa. area, Mrs. Wormack was a member of the Ebenezer Baptist Church in Pittsburgh and the Omega Grand Chapter of O.E.S. She is survived by three nieces, Lee Retta Wormack, East Orange, N.J., Shirley Wormack, Cumberland, and Joyce Wormack, Cumberland; two nephews, John Wormack and wife Janet, Olney, and James Wormack and wife, Kimberly, LaVale; six great-nieces: Karen, Pam, Rebecca, Leah, Rachel, Micah Wormack; a great-nephew, Jason Wormack; and many close relatives and friends.

Friends will be received at Merritt-Adams Funeral Home, P.A., 404 Decatur St., Cumberland, MD, on Tuesday, Aug. 19, 2003, from 7to 9 p.m. and on Wednesday, Aug. 20, 2003, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home on Wednesday, Aug. 20, 2003, at 11 a.m., with the Rev. Nathaniel Milton officiating. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.
