David W. Sloan, Cor. Sec'y,
Allegany Co. Centennial Celebration,
Cumberland, Md.,

Dear Sir:-

Your favor just at hand and I hasten to reply that Knoll & McNeil are not available as they have just started for SanFrancisco and will be on the Pacific Coast about six weeks before returning. There are other players however, whom I presume would be satisfactory to your Fair, but as your dates conflict with fairs of other sections, you may meet with some disappointment in making engagements. I will try and assist you in the matter.
Mr. Bellstedt of Cincinnati is a fine soloist andnow playing with Gilmore's Band. I do not know whether he intends to go in the winter engagement with the Band or not. He will soon be through at the Beach and I will try and ascertain if you can get him.
Mr. W.H. Nevers of the Blaisdell Orchestra of Concord N.H. is said to be a fine soloist and if you will drop him a line, he will probably give you a date.
Shall be pleased to hear of the success of your Centennial and any favors in the musical line that I can assist you in, shall be cheerfully given.

Yours Very Truly,
C.G. Conn
