Lyndon Baines Johnson, page 2

Barry Goldwater's most memorable campaign slogan was, "In your heart, you know he's right." This page also has a nice button depicting his vice-presidential running mate, William E. Miller (1914-1983). The "Au H2O" symbol was often used on many different campaign items, and is a clever way of saying "Goldwater" in chemical terms. Another clever button is the "Lyndon Tree", with its bad roots of government corruption and scandals, the Vietnam War, racial violence in the cities, Cuba, and big government spending. Goldwater's black-rimmed glasses, his experience in the U.S. Army Air Corps, and his stance on "Victory Over Communism" were all captured on many different buttons.
