The Centennial Booms Along Not-withstanding the Windows of the Heavens were Opened and the Rain Came Down In Torrents.

The balloon is filled, in spite of the rain.

On September 24th and 25th, Professor Hunt was to ascend to 5000 feet and leap from the balloon, wearing a parachute. Professor Foust jumped instead, after reaching probably 1000 feet, according to the newspaper reports.
