This monument was placed at the Antietam Station in Sharpsburg and would have been seen by veterans arriving for the 75th anniversary commemoration. It comprised at least eight cannon barrels and cannon balls.

According to an article in the Hagerstown Mail, it was erected by the Norfolk and Western Railroad on its property some time after 1880. It was later dismantled and the cannons used as monuments on the battlefield.
