This view of the Hagerstown Square includes two summer trolleys, open to the elements so riders could enjoy the breeze. On Potomac Street is the Hotel Central and a large advertisement for Barnum and Bailey's Circus. Next to the hotel is the Elks Hall, with a sign on the top of the building for A. W. Munson, Carpets, Draperies and Furniture. Presumably Munson sold his carpets on the first floor
