LONG PHONE TALKS ANNOY
Cumberland Chamber Of Commerce Hears Rural Complaints.
Cumberland, Md., Aug. 17. —
Complaint has been made to Franklin H. Ankeney, secretary, Cumberland Chamber of Commerce, regarding inability of the complainants to obtain expeditious service over rural telephone lines due to an alleged monopoly of the service by persons who are said to continue unimportant conversations for long periods.

Mr. Ankeney will consult Eugene Bowers, local manager of the Chesapeake and Potomac Telephone Company, with a view of eliminating the condition.
