SEPTEMBER 23D, 24TH, 25TH '89
First Day, Monday, September 23d.
MORNING—Parade of the School Children of the County, concluding with exercises in the Public Square.
AFTERNOON—Literary Exercises in the handsome and commodious Academy of Music. Oration by Hon. Henry W. Hoffman. Historical address by George L. Wellington, Esq. Centennial poem by Hon. John L. Thomas, Jr.. of Baltimore City. Music will be furnished by a splendid Chorus of Voices, accompanied by a magnificent Orchestra.
Second Day, Tuesday, September 24th.
GRAND TRADES DISPLAY.—On the morning of this day there will be given a presentation in parade of all the industries of the county, showing the practical working of iron, wood, metal, glass, etc., and a splendid and tastefully arrayed exhibit of goods and wares by the merchants of the county. Foremost among old Allegany's resources are her illimitable deposits of Bituminous Coal. An exhibit of this industry will be presented such as has never before been witnessed in this section. At night a magnificent display of Fireworks and a general illumination of the City will take place.
Third Day, Wednesday, September 25th.
MILITARY AND CIVIC DISPLAY—Presenting a parade of Military Organizations, Societies, Lodges, Beneficial and Benevolent Associations, etc., etc., etc. Interspersed throughout the three days, under the auspices of the Committee on Amusements, there will be free exhibition of spectacles, sports and athletic games, such as a Balloon Ascension by a skilled aeronaut, with the
Leap or descent. Lawn Tennis Tournaments, Shooting Matches, Foot Races, Night Parade of Boats on the historic Potomac River, Stereopticon Exhibitions, etc.
OPEN. AIR BAND CONCERTS NIGHT AND DAY.
The convenience of all visitors will be amply provided for by the Committee on Public Comfort.
THREE DAYS OF FUN, FROLIC AND FESTIVITIES.
The City Gay with Banners, Streamers and Gala Decorations.

SPECIAL NOTICE On September 23, 24 and 25 train No. 15, advertised to leave Cumberland for Grafton and way stations at 4:10 P.M., will leave Cumberland at 5.30 P. M.
