18 July 1944

Mr. Hastings Harrison
1310 Liberty Bank Building
Dallas, Texas

Dear Mr. Harrison:

The National Conference of Christians and Jews is to be congratulated on the splendid work they are doing in the military reservations throughout this country. The recent visit of the representatives here and their series of twenty-six meeting with hundreds of men at each was most successful. The results of their efforts are shown in the ideals, religion, and high morale of the men with whom they came in contact.

The National Conference work is grand in its objective and perfect in its approach. I sincerely hope that my organisation will have the privilege of hearing another conference series in the near future.

With kindest personal regards to you and best wishes for the continued success of the National Conference of Christians and Jews, I remain

Sincerely yours,

Major General, U.S. Army Commanding

R. P. Hartle
