TROOPS ON EITHER SIDE OF US.

There has as yet been no forward movement of the troops at Chambersburg in the direction of Hagerstown, as reported. The troops opposite Williamsport number about 700, less deserters, and are to be removed some three or four miles back from the river in the course of a day or two—probably to get them out of view of the stars and stripes which are defiantly waved at them by the loyal people of Williamsport.
