On Tuesday evening last while the regiments were returning from Williamsport to this town, a member of the 3d Pennsylvania Regiment was killed by the accidental discharge of a gun in the ranks. He was shot in the thigh and bled to death.

WILLIAM BARKER, of the 13th Regiment, from Pittsburg, was shot in the knee on Thursday.—

GEORGE WEIMBER, of the Eighth Regiment, was also accidentally shot, and had his leg amputated.

On Monday night, 17th inst., HAMILTON Downs Esq., of Williamsport was also shot in the breast by one of the Federal Guards stationed beyond the Potomac river in consequence of some misunderstanding as to the countersign. He was severely wounded, but is now in a fair way of recovery.

There is said to be but little sickness among the soldiers, the whole number in the hospital, from a division consisting of over 20,000 men, is only thirty-eight.
