Arrested

On Sunday, a negro named Henry Baker was arrested for robbing Mr. John Knode, of this place, of the sum of ninety five dollars, on Friday night last. He was committed for a further hearing. —People's Own.

We understand that the black boy was not arrested for the above theft, but for a misdemeanor of which he was guilty on New Year's eve, and has since been released on paying his fine.
