A negro child, belonging to Mr Geo. Fechtig, was found dead in its bed on Saturday evening last. The mother of the child, as was her custom, laid it down to sleep and went about her duty. Up on returning the body was there but the soul had fled. The verdict of the Jury was "Death by visitation of Providence."
