DEATH OF A SOLDIER.—
Corporal Keplinger, a member of Co. F, 1st Regiment, POTOMAC HOME BRIGADE, Company F, commanded by Capt. Whittier, lst Regiment P.H.B., died at the residence of Mr. Abraham G. Mumma in this town, on Thursday last, after a protracted illness, and was buried on Friday last, a squad of the 18th Connecticut volunteers, now on Provost duty in this town, accompanied his remains to their last resting place, and paying them the usual military honors. Mr. Keplinger was in the Gettysburg battle, and shared with his brave comrades of the regiment the perils and laurels of that glorious victory. He was quite a youth, having just entered his 2lst year, but was devotedly attached to the service of his country.
