By the County Commissioners of Washington County,
ORDERED by the County Commissioners of Washington County this 21st day of AUGUST, A. D., 1862, that Benjamin A. Garlinger, Collector of State and County Taxes for the year 1862 be and he is hereby authorized and directed to collect the Twenty Cents on the One Hundred Dollars worth of assessable property of the County, amounting to Fourteen Millions three hundred and seventy- eight thousand five hundred and thirty-three dollars, ($14,378,533) which will raise the sum of $28,757.06, which sum is to be deposited in Bank subject to the order of the County Commissioners for the payment of bounty to volunteers from this County under the recent call of the President for more troops.
