William F. "Bill" Lashbaugh, a Republican, first began working in the Allegany County Office of Register of Wills in 1962. He was elected Register of Wills in 1986, and served in that capacity until his retirement in 2006. As noted on this campaign item from the 1986 campaign, Lashbaugh noted his 25 years of experience as the Deputy Register of Wills.

Donna May and Billie J. Gilpin are both Republicans and long time Judges of the three-member Allegany County Orphans' Court, having thus far served 28 and 20 years respectively. They were re-elected in November 2014 to an additional four-year term. The back of Gilpin's re-election cards feature recipes for "Billie's Homemade Hot Fudge Sauce", as well as "Hot Chicken Salad." Billie Gilpin resigned from office in August 2017 due to health reasons. In December 2017 Albert L. Feldstein was appointed by Maryland Governor Larry Hogan to fill the remainder of the term

Joseph "Don" Madden, a Democrat, was unsuccessful in his 2010 bid for election to the three-member Orphans' Court, losing to May and Gilpin along with a third Republican.
