Dr. Hammond's Vegetable Extract!
Has cured, can and will cure effectually the following diseases, viz :—Dyspepsia, Liver Complaint, Palpitation of the Heart, Neuralgia, Sick Headache, Sick Stomach, Cramp Cholic, Cramps or : Spasms in the Stomach, Rheumatism, and Nervous and Bilious diseases generally—also the Chills or Weed, Colds, Coughs, Croup, Sore Throat, Irregularities of a chronic character attended with cold feet, pains in the back and limbs. In broken down conditions of the health, caused by frequent and severe attacks of Bilious diseases in which there appears to exist a defect in the assimilative functions, the Extract in such cases is one of great efficacy.
Hundreds of certificates could be offered to the public to sustain the merits of this Extract, but 1 refrain from so doing, and merely submit the following testimonial from a Rev. gentleman in whom there is no guile:
ROCKY SPRING, Franklin County, Pa., February 28, 1861.
Dr. WM. Hammond—
Dear Sir. — I feel it my duty to recommend your valuable Medicine, VEGETABLE EXTRACT, to the
public as a first-rate Family Medicine. I have been much afflicted for three years or nearly so—I had a weak stomach, and much plagued with the Dyspepsia, and especially with the Sore Throat, and flying stitches
through my head, and by times shortness of breath and weakness in my limbs, so that I was not able to work or
to preach the Gospel for several years, but since I have been using Dr. HAMMOND'S VEGETABLE EXTRACT, and for the last summer I have enjoyed perfect health, as much so as I ever did. I have a good appetite, and can do any work, and labor in the ministry again.
This Medicine is prepared only by Dr. HAMMOND, East Franklin Street, Hagerstown, Md., and can be had at his Office, and from the following Agents:-—JAMES I. HURLEY, Merchant, or C. W. SMITH, Apothecary, Hagerstown, Md.; THEOPHILUS KING & BRO., State Line, Franklin Co. Pa.: H. F. LEHMAN, Marsh Run Mill, Washington County, Md.; WM. STEFFEY & SON, Williamsport, Washington Co. Md.; C. G. DOWNS, Downsville, Wash'n Co., Md.; F. WYAND, Keedysville, Wash'n Co., Md.; J. K. ROHRER, Rohrersville, Wash'n Co., Md.; JACOB RUDY, Middletown, Frederick Co. Md.
