Dorothy Lee "Dottie" Redman, 65, of 217 Carroll St., Cumberland, died Sunday, Dec. 3, 2000, at her home.

Born May 2, 1935, in Ridgeley, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Almo Biggs and Leona L. "Susan" Pope. She was reared by her Aunt Louise Washington) Pope and her late Uncle Joseph Pope. Mrs. Redman was a retired cook for the Washington Middle School and a former cook for Sheehe's Restaurant for many years. She was a member of the Metropolitan A.M.E. Church. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She is survived by her husband, Louis D. Redman; a son, Carl Harry Fisher III, Cumberland; a daughter, Pamela Lorraine Peck and husband Robert E., Cumberland; former daughter-in-law, Jackie Harper, Cumberland; four grandchildren, Dionne Harper, Frederick, Kerry Harper Jr. and wife Nicole, Cumberland, Daniel Harper and wife Kelly, N.C., and Tifani Fisher, Cumberland; five great-grandchildren, Chutnee R. Harper, Corrhon R. Harper, Christian S. Harper, Camile J. Wilkinson and Caden J. Wilkinson; and numerous cousins and friends.

Friends will be received at the Merritt-Adams Funeral Home, P.A., 404 Decatur St., Cumberland, on Tuesday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be conducted at the funeral home on Wednesday at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Gary Curtis officiating. Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Mervin Pope, Anthony Pope, Terry Pope, Bill Peck and grandsons, Kerry Harper Jr. and Donald Harper.
