James Arthur Galloway, 57, of Pinepointe Road, New Creek, died Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2001, at Ridgeville.

Born in Piedmont on Sept. 12, 1943, he was the son of Laura Belle Galloway of Silver Lake Nursing Home, Bristol, Pa., and the late James Arthur Galloway. Mr. Galloway was employed with the WV Mineral County Department of Highways. He was an Army veteran of World War II, and a member of Aubrey-Stewart V.F.W. #5957, Piedmont. He attended Piedmont High School. Surviving in addition to his mother, is a foster grandmother, Mrs. Reva Washington of Keyser; his former wife and friend, Roberta Coleman of Piedmont; two sons, James Christian Coleman and Michael Anthony Coleman, both of Piedmont; one brother, Arnold Rodney Galloway of La Mesa, Calif.; four sisters, Kathleen Taylor and husband Otis of Norfolk, Va., Barbara Jean Washington of Beverly, N.J., Gloria Ann Galloway of Willingsboro, N.J., and Paulette Hollingsworth of Fort Worth, Texas; aunt and uncle, Howard and Alberta Coleman of Piedmont; four grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family will receive friends at the Boal Funeral Home, Westernport, on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be conducted at the funeral home on Saturday at 1 p.m. with the Rev. David Coleman officiating.
