UPDATE: Terry Ashby was born in 1950 and passed away in 2018. The following is an excerpt from an obituary that appeared in the January 6, 2018 edition of the Cumberland Times-News:

“Terrance Anthony Ashby, Sr., 67, of Cumberland, MD, after a chronic illness, passed away Tuesday, January 2, 2018, at the Western Maryland Regional Medical Center... Terry graduated from Allegany High School, Class of 1968, where he excelled in sports, particularly football. He did four years of active service in the 101st Airborne Division of the United States Army. While in the Army, Terry did a tour of duty in Vietnam and was awarded a few medals. For a brief period, Terry was employed by the Celanese Fibers Corporation of America as a long distance truck driver in Rock Hill, SC. His final employment was many years with the B&O Railroad as a Carman. Terry enjoyed fishing and animals, always having a pet dog or two by his side.

Per Terry’s requests, his final resting place will be the Arlington National Cemetery.”
