Francis G. Philpot , a Republican, certainly had a suitable name for the office he held upon election as Allegany County Treasurer. Raymond Walker served as his campaign Treasurer. Philpot would also go on to serve as an Allegany County Commissioner from 1982-1986.

Robert Little Ebert (1916-2010),a Republican and a former City of Cumberland Councilman, was elected to the Board of Allegany County Commissioners in 1962, and was re-elected in 1966 serving through 1970.

Robert W. Hamilton , a Republican, was elected State's Attorney for Allegany County in both 1982 and 1986. Hamilton officially served in this capacity as State's Attorney from January 2, 1983 until his retirement from that office on January 2, 1991. Prior to his election as State's Attorney he served as the Deputy State's Attorney for Allegany County from January 2, 1974, until January 2, 1983.

David Sigel , a Democrat, was an unsuccessful candidate for the position of Allegany County Treasurer. The pencil states that Sigel was “Experienced and Qualified”.

John C. Sullivan , a Democrat, ran with the slogan, “A Time for Change.” Sullivan made three unsuccessful bids for the office of Allegany County State’s Attorney in 1966, 1970, and 1974. The back of the campaign card depicted here reads as follows:
When Elected I Pledge to:
1.       Observe the dignity and honor of the Judges in and out of Court.
2.       Be available at all times when the need arises.
3.       Assure to all persons that justice will prevail.
4.       Cooperate fully and extensively with all police authorities.
5.       Keep the office open on a 5 ½ day, 9 hour basis, 8-5 p.m.
6.       Maintain 24 hour, 7 day a week telephone answering service.
7.       Conduct the office with honor and dignity.

Michael O. Twigg , a Republican, was elected to the office of Allegany County State’s Attorney in 2002. He was re-elected in 2006 and 2010, having run unopposed in both the primary and general elections.

James M. Robey , a Republican, was appointed Deputy Register of Wills in 1947, and appointed Register of Wills in 1960. He successfully won election to that office in 1962, was re-elected in 1966 and continued to hold that position until 1986. William F. Lashbaugh Jr. served as his campaign Treasurer.

Rebecca Drew , a Republican, was a long-time Deputy Register of Wills having served in the Allegany County office for twelve years. She was appointed Interim Register of Wills in 2006 upon the retirement of William Lashbaugh. Later in that same year, 2006, Drew won election to that office winning 66% of the votes in the primary. She faced no Democratic opposition in the general election. The card portrayed here is from her 2010 campaign. Drew ran unopposed in the elections of 2010 and 2014. She resigned from her position as Register of Wills in August 2017.

Lawrence “Larry” V. Kelly, a Republican, had been appointed Deputy State’s Attorney for Allegany County in 1972, and appointed State’s Attorney two years later in 1974. He was then elected and served in that office until 1986. Kelly would go on to be re-elected to the office of State’s Attorney in 1990, and again in 1994 and 1998 serving until 2002. Kelly’s campaign Treasurer for at least one of these elections was Robert W. Hamilton. Kelly was the longest serving state’s attorney in Allegany County history. He passed away in 2017 at the age of 73.
