Albert L. Feldstein, a Republican, was one of three unopposed candidates running for Judge of the Allegany County Orphans’ Court in the May 26, 2018 Republican Primary. The Court consists of three Judges. All three Republicans (Albert Feldstein, Donna May and Edward Crossland) were elected to a four-year term of office in the November 6, 2018 General Election.

Ray Morriss was among seven candidates running for the non-partisan office of Mayor of Cumberland in the 2018 Primary. He was among the top two finishers and as such faced Brian Grim, the incumbent Mayor, in the November 6, 2018 General Election. Ray Morriss was victorious.

Rock Cioni was appointed to the non-partisan Cumberland City Council in February 2016. Cioni was one of two, out of six candidates, successfully elected to a four-year term in the November 2018 General Election.

George Merling was among seven candidates running for Mayor of Cumberland in the 2018 Primary. He was not among the top two finishers who will go onto the November General Election.

Nina Forsythe was elected to a two-year term as the City of Frostburg’s Commissioner for Water, Parks & Recreation on June 5, 2018.

Deb Frank was one of eight successful candidates, out of eleven total, in the May 26, 2018 Primary for election to the Board of Education. In the November 6, 2018 General Election she finished first among the four successful candidates elected to this non-partisan office.

Nicholas Hadley, an incumbent Allegany County Board of Education member, was one of eight successful candidates, out of eleven total, in the May 26, 2018 Primary for election to the Board of Education. He was not among the four elected to that non-partisan office in the November 6, 2018 General Election.

Penny Walker, a Democrat, was a candidate for the Maryland House of Delegates, District 1B, in the November 6, 2018 General Election. She lost to the Republican incumbent, Jason Buckel.

Judy A. Carbone, a Democrat running for the Board of Garrett County Commissioners, lost to the Republican incumbent in the November 6, 2018 General Election.

Charles Lattimer was a long-time Fort Hill High School football coach. He was elected to the Allegany County Board of Education serving from 1990-1995 and 1995-1997.

James Virts was unsuccessful in his May 2018 Republican Primary bid for Maryland House of Delegates, District 1B, losing to the incumbent Wendell Beitzel.

Mike Dreisbach was the Democratic candidate to the Maryland House of Delegates, District 1A. He lost to the Republican incumbent, Wendell Beitzel, in the November 6, 2018 General Election.
