Allegany County Marbles Champions

Girls representing the City of Cumberland who have captured the National Marbles Championship, held each year in Wildwood, New Jersey for youths between the ages 8-14, include Patricia Kimmell in 1983, Amy Thompson in 1985, Lori Dickel (from Ridgeley, West Virginia) in 1987, and Dawn Lancaster in 1991.

Amy Thompson, a 1991 Fort Hill High School graduate, later married. As Amy Yarbrough in 2002 and at the age of 29 she won the United States Marbles Championship, Women's Division.
