Fifth Annual Allegany County Women's History Celebration

The Fifth Annual Allegany County Women's History Celebration was held on March 15, 2016. The event was sponsored by the Maryland National Organization for Women and Allegany College of Maryland. Over 100 people were in attendance at the event. The program focused on women leaders and consisted of a:

1. Panel discussion entitled, "What We Do and How We Got Here: Public Service as a Career"
2. Special presentation to Julianna Albowicz honoring her retirement as Assistant to Senator Barbara Mikulski
3. Film produced by students enrolled in the college's Sociology of Gender Roles Class entitled, "Challenges and Solutions: Encouraging Women Leaders to Run for Office"
4. Performance by Kate Campbell Stevenson as Rose Crabtree and Eleanor Roosevelt
5. Networking reception following the program
