THE SECOND MARYLAND PHB

This Regiment which has been recently stationed at Greenland Gap has been ordered to the front and passed through the city via B & O. R. R. to-day. They will join Gen. Hunter's column, whose field of operation will be the Shenandoah Valley. The boys generally seem eager for the fray, and express their determination to maintain the reputation that the Maryland troops have already gained on many a well-fought field, A portion of this regiment has re-enlisted for three years, or the war: the term of the reminder will expire in August next.
