The attached PDF was transcribed from the original, located at the National Archives, College Park, Maryland in National Park Service (NPS) files, Record group 79. All the original material was handwritten in a flowing script font of the day. That means it was occasionally hard to decipher.
Readers who have alternate spellings are requested to contact William Bauman who transcribed the documents at wdbauman@visuallink.com and he will endeavor to verify/correct this file.
The use of [brackets] indicates something this editor added to the text for clarity or consistency.
The use of (parenthesis) indicates something the originator added to the file for the same reasons.

The boat C. H. Ohr was probably named after Dr. Charles H. Ohr, a prominent physician in Cumberland in 1851
