Admitting Slaves.

A Bill has passed the House of Delegates, repeating all laws which impose restrictions upon the introduction of slaves into this State As this is contrary to the policy Maryland has been pursuing for some years past, for the purpose of preventing an increase of Slavery within her borders, some of the papers of the State are very much opposed to the bill, and seem to be somewhat alarmed at its passage in the House, lest it should become a law. But we apprehend no increase of Slavery in this State from the legalizing of any such measure, because the people farther South are not so foolish as to bring slaves here, the most insecure State for such property in the whole Union. The law will be a nullity to all intents and purposes.
