An Auspicious Move

The Baltimore Sun states, that a bill repealing the law of the 3d March, 1847, which forbade the officers of the State government of Pennsylvania, from aiding in the capture of fugitive slaves has been read in the Legislature of that State, and is almost certain to pass. This statement of the Sun is gratifying information. The law referred to indicts great injustice upon the people of Maryland and Virginia and this and similar laws in New York and other Northern States have done more to irritate and increase the Southern people than any other feature of the difficulty between the two great sections of the Union, because the wrong is practical, and is not only seen but felt.
