Body

Colonization Society.

We learn from the Pledge of yesterday, that there will be a meeting of the Colonization cause at the Lutheran Church in this place on Saturday evening next (June 7th,) at half past seven o'clock.

The meeting will be mainly for the purpose of prevailing upon the free colored people of the county, and particularly those who have been lately emancipated (and who are required by law either to go to Liberia or leave the State of Maryland,) to adopt the terms offered by the Colonization Society for their immediate removal to their new home in Africa. We are not advised that any collection will be taken up on the occasion. It is expected that the colored people will all attend.

The meeting will be conducted by the Rev. John Seyes, agent of the Society, and it is expected that J. H. B. Latrobe, Esq. of Baltimore, and gentlemen of this place will also address the meeting.

The public are invited to attend.
