30 Dollars Reward

RAN AWAY from the subscriber on Sunday the 18th inst, a likely well made negro man named DAVEY, about 22 years old, 5 feet 5 inches high, sometimes wears a small Cue fixed to his wool, has a mark the shape of a half moon and size of a thumb nail under his right eye, owing to a cut. He had on a blue cloth coat, white metal buttons pinched under the arms, a stripped cotton jacket, white breeches, white worsted stockings, half worn shoes and a high crowned half worn hat; also a brown close bodied coat (with ? buttons) pretty much patched. He is supposed to have gone off on a bay Mare belonging to one Keyser of Boonsborough; the mare has a star on her forehead, is about 14 hands high, 8 or 9 years old next spring, shod all round, a natural pacer and hind left foot white.

Whoever takes up said negro and delivers him to me or secures him in any jail (?), shall receive if taken up within ten miles from home, ten dollars, at twenty miles, twenty dollars, and if at a greater distance thirty dollars and a handsome reward for the mare.
