For Liberia.

We were highly pleased the other day on reading an article in the Williamsport Times, stating that a colored man and his wife and four children, the former belonging to Mr. John Van Lear, Jr., and the latter to Mrs. N. Friend of that place, had been liberated by their master and mistress, upon expressing a desire to go to Liberia. The Times states that they will take passage in ship “ Liberia,” from the port of Baltimore, on the 25th inst, for the shores of Africa. This transaction evidences another bright spot in human nature, though the recipients of its fruits are covered with darkness.
