Convictions —

On Tuesday week, Nathan Parker, free negro, was tried before Washington County Court, at Hagers-town, and convicted on two indictments—the one charging with an assault and battery (upon a white man) with intent to kill, and the other, with aiding and abetting a slave to run away from his master. His sentence in the former case was confinement in the Penitentiary for the term of five years five months thereof in the cells; and in the latter case Confinement in the Penitentiary for three years, three months thereof in the cells. —Banner.
