An Important Bill,

REASSESSMENT OF THE PROPERTY IN THE STATE.—We are indebted says the Baltimore Sun, to Messrs. Danels and Davis, of the House of Delegates, for a copy of a bill occupying twenty-six pages, providing for the reassessment of all the real and personal property in Maryland, which has been reported by Mr. Wyse, chairman of the committee on ways and means.

The various counties and Baltimore city are to be laid off into assessment districts, every two wards of the city constituting a district. The assessors in their returns are to specify as follows :

1st. The name of the tracts or parcels of land, or other description thereof, owned by each individual, with the quantity of acres therein, and the value thereof.
2d. The negro slaves, classifying them according to their sex and ages :
1. Male slaves under the age of twelve years, their number and aggregate value, estimating each slave of this class at seventy-five dollars ;
2. Male slaves from twelve to twenty-one years of age, their number and aggregate value, estimating this class, at two hundred and fifty dollars each ;
3. Male slaves from twenty-one to forty-five years, their number and aggregate, value, estimating this class at four hundred dollars each ; 4. Male slaves from forty-five to sixty years of age, at one hundred and sixty dollars each
5. Female slaves under twelve years of age, estimating this class at fifty dollars each;
6. Female slaves from twelve to twenty-one years of age, estimating this class at two hundred dollars each;
7. Female slaves from twenty-one to forty years of age, estimating this class at three hundred dollars each ;
8, Female slaves from forty to sixty years of age, estimating this class at one hundred dollars each.
3d. Stock in trade, its general description and value.
4th. Public Securities liable to valuation, particularly specified, with their respective values.
5th. Bank stocks and other stocks, with their respective values.
6th. Private securities, aggregate value.
7th. Live stock, aggregate value.
8th. Household furniture, aggregate value.
9th. Plate, aggregate value.
10th. Gold and silver watches, aggregate value.
11th. Property of other descriptions, aggregate value.
