RUNAWAYS.—

Were committed to the jail of Washington County as runaways, two Negro Men. One calls himself Abraham Stoops, is six feet high, slender made, dark complexion, about 22 or 23 years of age—had on a grey tweed coat, striped cassimere pants, cloth cap and fine shoes—says he was recently discharged from the Maryland Penitentiary, convicted before this court. The other calls himself Henry Hutchison, 5 feet 6 inches high, dark complexion, stout made; has several scars on the right side of his neck from scrofula, had on black cashmarett coat and pants, velvet vest, grey cloth cap—and wears a goatee— says he was committed to the Maryland Penitentiary from Somerset County on the Eastern Shore, and from which he has just been discharged. The owners of the above advertised negroes are requested to come forth, prove their property and take them away, else they will be discharged agreeably to law.
