WE beg a thousand pardons for giving the wrong impression but really it wasn't our fault we were called "Silly Sophs." When we entered Penn Hi in '27 we were rather shaky around the knees and very self-conscious. The Seniors were gazed upon in awe, the Juniors were envied and later imitated.

School was a rushing proposition for a few weeks but gradually things quieted down and we began to have some hope. We were yet a brilliant green but as time passed on we paled a little and eventually became a part of the school.

As Sophomores we established a reputation of "Frolic Seekers" when we went on a weiner roast to Lake Gordon. Dame Misfortune stalked warily in our wake at that unforgettable event. The car broke down and we walked home from the "buggy ride."

The next memorable social activity was the Sophomore dance.

We became members of the Penn Hi Dramatic Club and although at first we were nervous and ill at ease before the higher classmen we managed to show some ability and talent.

We worked hard, doing our best at everything we undertook. We passed through our exams with flying colors and became desperately in love with our school in our one short year.

We ask you: Remember thy sins—Forgive us ours—and pass us on as Juniors.
