Time will pass,
However spent,
No matter how bad,
Or how well meant.

Time takes its toll,
Whether of joy or sorrow.
The days of today
Affect the days of tomorrow.

Time is valuable
And not to be spent
Letting it go by,
Not knowing where it went.
M. H.

Seniors' Lament

The hours I spent with thee dear heart.
Are as a string of flunks to me;
I count them over, everyone apart.
My fifty-one, my sixty-three.
Each hour I feel I shall not pass,
Oh teacher flunk not all the class!
Oh memories of my bygone days,
Oh for more time my grade to raise,
Oh teacher help me, as I strive
And give me just one ninety-five.
