The Club decided to invite Mr. Chas. R. Shirm of Baltimore to deliver an address before one of our meetings, there being no other business the club adjourned to meet again on Sep. 8, 1900.

The Republican Club of Boonsboro met Saturday evening Sep 8th , the President Major Pierce presided and after the minutes of previous meeting were read and adopted he addressed the Club in his usual instructive manner setting forth the advisability of the Club using its best efforts to further the interest of the Republican Party in District #6 and stated by what methods the best results could be obtained, he also submitted to the club a very carefully prepared Poll List of the district and explained what would be required of the Club in order to carry this closely contested district, he read letters from Mr. Blanchard Randall President of the Board of Trade of Baltimore City and Mr. Chas. R. Schirm candidate for Congress from the 4th District of Baltimore City, and concluded his remarks by notifying the Club that our mutual friend and member Col. John McElroy of Washington D. C. would be with us again on Sep 15th also Captain Satoras of Washington D.C. a newly elected member of the Club and assured the Club that there was a treat in store for us by having them with us. The following bills were passed and ordered
