Boonsboro Nov. 10, 1900
The Republican Club met on Saturday evening Nov 10th. Minutes of previous meeting were read and adopted.
The Finance Committee made a report that was accepted as follows, money received since the Club was organized $189.70, money paid out by the Club $133.55, leaving a total of cash on hand $56.15.
The Club tendered Miss Viola Friss of Westminster a vote of thanks for her contribution of a very handsome cushen.
Vote of thanks was tendered F. E. Newcomer for services rendered.
By a unanimous vote of the Club Mr. Geo. A. Davis was authorized to draw up a charter for the Club and attend to having the name recorded.
On motion of Mr. Geo. A Davis, Major Pierce President of the Club was voted a hearty vote of thanks for his success as one of the prime movers of this Club.
The Chairman read a communication from Keedysville inviting the Club to participate in a Grand Rally on Nov. 17th the invitation was accepted and the following Committee were appointed to make necessary arrangements. Chas. E. Young, A.C. Huffer, Samuel C. Knode, J.B. Gantz, David Nicodemus, Thomas Snavely, Samuel Zittle, Frank Line and Elias Remsburg.
Bill for Telegraphing (.73c) was passed and ordered paid.
The following Committee of five were appointed to solicit contributions for the Club Samuel C. Knode, A.C. Huffer, Samuel E. Young, Daniel W. Foltz and Mr. Bomberger.
The stove secured on approval by the Committee was agreed upon as satisfactory and the Treasurer was ordered to pay the bill for same.
There being no other business the Club adjourned for the evening.
