GREEN VISORS ON FORDS PROHIBITED

Flivver Only Machine Which Comes Under Recent Ruling From Office of Commissioner of Motor Vehicles.

The following letter in explanation of the Attorney General's ruling on automobile headlights, was received yesterday by William R. Moore, traffic manager of the Cumberland Chamber of Commerce, from E. A. Baughman, commissioner of motor vehicles, Baltimore:

"Replying to your communication of November 22nd, I beg to advise that the green visor anti-glare headlight device which has been declared a menace by the Attorney-General is taken to include only the style manufactured and used by the Ford Motor Company, which is styled by them as the Ford green visor lense.
"The attorney-General's opinion also includes the Warner anti-glare headlight, Morelite, and the use of plain glass on Lexington cars that are equipped with the two way reflector.

"We are giving this information to dealers throughout the State and are requesting your cooperation in advising motor owners that this Department will not issue license plates for the year 1923 if their cars are equipped with the above devices, until they have been replaced by an approved antiglare device.

"I will appreciate it if you will notify the members of your chamber of this ruling, and thank you in advance for your cooperation."
